Privacy Notes

Classroom Randomizer Toolkit is designed for quick classroom activities with local, browser-based tools. For site purpose and usage boundaries, read the about page and terms of use.

Student names stay in your browser

Your list stays in your browser. We do not upload, store, or share student names.

The current Random Group Generator, Random Student Picker, and Classroom Timer run in your browser. Student names are not uploaded, not stored in a database, and not placed in an account system.

In the Random Student Picker, names, the picked result, and picked history stay in the current page runtime. They are not saved to localStorage, sessionStorage, cookies, a URL, logs, or a server. They also must not be sent to site analytics. Refreshing the page or using Clear names removes the current list from the page.

Limited site analytics may be used

No login is required. This site may use limited, privacy-conscious site analytics to understand basic page usage, page loading, and site reliability.

Analytics are not intended to collect classroom activity content. Student lists, pasted names, generated groups, picked names, picked history, timer labels, copied results, and other free-text classroom input must not be sent to analytics.

We do not use ads, advertising analytics, or ad personalization for this launch. Any future advertising or expanded analytics would require a separate review before implementation.

Do not enter sensitive information

Use only the names needed for the current classroom activity. First names, initials, or nicknames may be enough. Do not enter student IDs, school IDs, classroom identifiers, teacher names, emails, phone numbers, grades, health data, official records, or other sensitive personal information.

Not a student information system

This tool is not a student information system. It is designed for quick classroom activities and does not replace your school’s official privacy, data handling, or classroom management policies.

Teachers and facilitators should follow their school or district privacy, data handling, and classroom management policies when deciding what names or labels to enter.

Cookies and consent

Limited site analytics may involve provider-side measurement behavior that requires separate review against current hosting, regional, school, and consent requirements. Cookie and consent requirements for any future ads, expanded analytics, or third-party services would require review before those services are added.
